Javier Serrano
Biography
The rider from Madrid is an old acquaintance of the sports structures of the Contador Foundation, in whose youth team he competed during the 2019 season with high level victories such as the Trofeo Cabedo or the Cursa del Llobregat in Sant Boi. A very versatile cyclist, with interesting performances in the velodromes in lower categories, as a result of which he has won national titles, Serrano was another of the cyclists who in 2020 faced the jump from junior to professionalism in the hands of an Italian continental structure that was going to be a satellite of Deceuninck, but this project finally did not get to compete and found a place in the Caja Rural U23 team. With a view to 2021 he signed for the Italian Biesse Arvedi, formation from which he returns to the discipline of the Foundation. Javier is the younger brother of Gonzalo Serrano, Movistar Team WorldTour rider. He has always said that his love of cycling began when he was three or four years old, thanks to his brother, who loved to go to the races. In his first race, where he was the youngest of all the participants, he finished last.
