Marcel Camprubí and Fernando Tercero, called up to compete in the cycling events at the Mediterranean Games in Oran

XIX Mediterranean Games
30 June: Oran – Oran (25.2 km LRC)
2 June: Oran – Oran (147 km)

Double presence of cyclists of the U23 structure of the Contador Foundation in the Spanish national team that will compete in the cycling events of the Mediterranean Games that are being held in Oran (Algeria), between June 25 and July 6. Marcel Camprubí and Fernando Tercero have been officially called up by coach Pascual Momparler for the event.

Camprubí will take part in both the individual time trial, to be held on Thursday 30 June, and the road race, scheduled for Saturday 2 July. Tercero, on the other hand, will only compete in the road race. Both riders are part of an expedition completed by Enekoitz Azparren (who will also compete in the time trial), Francesc Bennassar, Pablo García, Rodrigo Álvarez, Xabier Berasategui and Mikel Retegi.

The men’s time trial will be held over a 25 kilometre course, while the men’s road race will be held over a 147 kilometre route with a cumulative difference in altitude of just over 900 metres. A fairly favourable route, in short, where the presumably hot summer weather will play a major role.
