Álex Martín
Biography
A cyclist from the junior team of the Alberto Contador Foundation, Martín is a very complete rider who enjoys the mountains. He started cycling in 2011 with a friend. He started to practice mountain biking and, little by little, as he confesses, he got the taste of competition. In 2012 he got his first license, focused on mountain biking. Watching cycling on television, Alberto Contador’s adventures, also aroused his curiosity to try the route. After some time alternating mountain biking and road cycling, he finally focused on the latter. He grew a lot with the Mollet Cycling Club and made great performances in the Catalan Cup. In 2018 he signed a remarkable season with victories in the overall final of the Vuelta al Besaya, the Tour de l’Ain or the Challenge to Talavera de la Reina, in addition to many other partial successes.
