IMG_5552After an initial breakaway of 15 riders, with Diego Noriega among them, that ended up being neutralized by several teams’ work, the head of the race was reduced after successive climbs to Aduna mountain pass to some 20 riders, including four representatives of RH+/Polartec: Fernando Barceló, Miguel Angel Ballesteros, Alvaro Cuadros and Daniele Cantoni.

From this group would jump at the last ascent to Aduna the final winner, Jaume Sureda, while behind was made a small group of four riders with Fernando Barceló, who took third place in the sprint. In the same group, in eighth place, finished Ballesteros, seventeenth was Alvaro Cuadros, recent winner in the Guerrita Trophy, and Italian Daniele Cantoni was nineteenth.

By this way they also managed the teams victory, third consecutive in the three first races of the Cup of Spain, that RH+/Polartec leads right now with solvency. In the individual classification, however, today was lost the leadership, who held Juan Camacho, that could not keep the pace with the best in the toughest climb of the day and later failed to connect with the head of the race.

Without Camacho, his place was taken by the aforementioned Barceló, Ballesteros and Cuadros, who maintain very high chances of victory in the Cup of Spain, with Ballesteros, third, as the best-placed. However, there are still six races of the Cup of Spain in which everything has to be decided.
